Welcome to the official site of After the Porch. We call it
that because I wanted to offer a web presence that was close to the
feeling of my old radio show "Off My Front Porch" on Supertalk 97.7 from
Jackson, Tennessee. It's been something that I've wanted to do,
give and write inspirational information that folks could keep informed
on what was really happening in this county. I started, and
unfortunately, my new job was taking a lot of time, so I asked one of my
regular listeners, Mike Davis to join me. Mike shares my desire
for the truth, and you can see it in his writing on the blog.

What the Porch all about
Like Mike and me, the Porch is a place for us to hang out and share
conservative information with our readers. We try to keep our eyes
out there, our ears open and we get lots of input from our friends.
We make no claim to be a news site, what we do claim is honest
commentary. What we do claim is not to pull any punches, and if we
make a mistake, we're big enough to admit it and fix it. We
